Hi there, I’m Alina Pleskova. I’m a poet who hails from Moscow & now lives in Philadelphia.

My chapbook, What Urge Will Save Us, was published by Spooky Girlfriend Press in 2017. In addition to my publications & events, I’ve hosted poetry workshops for organizations including Apiary magazine & The Head & The Hand Press. With Jackee Sadicario, I co-edit bedfellows, a biannual literary magazine focused on discussions of sex, desire, & intimacy. My day job is in writing & communications for Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice.

I believe that community is inexorably linked to writing. I’ve hosted readings, panels, & in-conversation events around Philadelphia, New York, & elsewhere. To contact me about performing, hosting a workshop, etc., or if you’re a poet planning to be in Philly, drop me a note here.
