Hi there, I’m Alina Pleskova. I’m a poet who hails from Moscow & now lives in Philadelphia. My chapbook, What Urge Will Save Us, was published by Spooky Girlfriend Press in 2017. In addition to my publications & readings, I’ve hosted poetry workshops, in-conversation events, & panel discussions for organizations including Apiary, Blue Stoop, & The Head & The Hand Press in spaces such as the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) & Penn Book Center.

I’m a founding member of the Cheburashka Collective, a group of women & nonbinary writers who are emigres/first-generation/refugees from the Soviet diaspora. With Jackee Sadicario, I also co-edit bedfellows, a biannual literary magazine topically focused on sex, desire, & intimacy. My day job is in higher ed writing & communications.

To contact me about readings, events, etc., or if you’re a poet planning to be in Philly, drop a note here.
